Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Traveler

Schedule: 3x12-Hour Night Shifts | 19:00 07:30 | Monday Friday
Weekly Hours: 36 Hours
Experience Required: Minimum 2 Years in Respiratory Therapy
Athena Medtech is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our Pulmonary Services team on a traveler assignment. In this critical role, you will provide advanced respiratory care and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions. The ideal candidate will be experienced, flexible, and committed to excellence in patient care.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssess patients to determine appropriate therapy type, frequency, and individualized care plans based on diagnosis.
Administer and monitor respiratory therapies and ensure proper functioning of all equipment.
Record and communicate patient status and clinical outcomes to the healthcare team.
Perform advanced respiratory procedures, including airway management and ventilator support.
Continuously evaluate treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans accordingly.
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, therapies, and community support options.
Respond rapidly and effectively to emergency resuscitation/code situations.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
Licensure/Certification: Current RRT credential and state license (as applicable).
Additional Certifications: BLS required; ACLS, NRP, or PALS preferred (customize based on your needs).
Proficiency with respiratory equipment and technology
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Effective communication in high-pressure environments
Prior traveler experience preferred
