Job Description

The OTR Transfer Driver will transport products in a safe manner from one Bunzl Processor location to another in multiple states while following all safety and DOT regulations. One to four stops per week/Drop and Hook. Home on the Weekends.

Monday - Friday / Home Every Weekend! Excellent Benefits. $2500 Hiring Bonus!

The driver will be based in Kansas City.

Responsibilities:

• Operate tractor-trailer combination in a safe and professional manner at all times
• Deliver products to BPD Warehouses
• Maintain DOT logs daily and complies with all other DOT procedures/regulations
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment to include washing tractor exterior and interior per accepted standards for BPD, Bunzl and applicable laws

Requirements:

• Must have a valid CDL Class A license
• Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial transportation 
• Must have Haz/Mat endorsement or able to obtain within 60 days of employment
• Ability to operate a tractor-trailer in a safe and efficient manner
• Possess knowledge of all applicable State and Federal DOT regulations
• Capacity to read and correctly interpret route manifests and invoices
• Ability and willingness to work varying routes as assigned by Supervisor
• Previous experience with Electronic Log Devices (ELD's)

Experience

• Over-the-Road commercial driving experience preferred
• 2+ years commercial driving with a Class A CDL License
