The Protestant Chapel Minister will provide religious services and professional Protestant ministry support to the Dugway Proving Ground (DPG) community on an as-needed basis. This includes Sunday worship services, one (1) annual Christmas service, and other Protestant ordinances. Services are provided when no military chaplain, Department of the Army (DA) civilian, or trained volunteer is available. This is not a government employment position and does not establish an employee-employer relationship.
Lead Protestant Sunday Worship Services in accordance with Christian doctrine and Protestant traditions.
Conduct a Christmas holiday service and other Protestant-specific ordinances as needed.
Deliver pastoral care and spiritual guidance in a manner consistent with Army values and policies.
Support the Installation’s Command Master Religious Program (CMRP) and comply with all applicable Department of Defense and Army regulations.
Maintain a flexible schedule; most work will occur on weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Coordinate all services through the Dugway Proving Ground Religious Support Office (RSO).
Ensure service excellence and compliance with the Quality Control Plan (QCP) and Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP).
Maintain professionalism and avoid actions that imply a personal services relationship with the government.
Must be an ordained Protestant minister in good standing with their denominational body.
Demonstrated experience in conducting worship services, preaching, and delivering pastoral care.
Must meet all religious education and endorsement requirements to serve as a Protestant minister.
Ability to work independently and manage religious programming in accordance with Army and installation guidelines.
Must be able to pass a background check and installation access requirements.
Services: Up to 53 services per year (based on need).
Schedule: As-needed, to be coordinated with the RSO.
Period of Performance: 12-month base year with four 12-month option years.
