We are seeking a Medical Director to provide expert oversight and leadership for skilled nursing facilities in Wellsville, NY. This role offers a flexible, hybrid remote schedule with on-site visits twice per month, allowing you to balance your professional and personal commitments while making a difference in patient care.

About the Role
As a Medical Director, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of care for residents in skilled nursing facilities. You'll provide medical and procedural consultation, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with facility leadership to improve patient outcomes. This part-time, 1099 contractor position requires a commitment of 8 hours per month, with additional responsibilities as needed.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Oversight & Consultation

Serve as a medical and procedural consultant for residents.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., Title 42, Section 483.75(i) of the Code of Federal Regulations).
Collaborate with the Facility Administrator to enhance clinical services, develop new care programs, and evaluate medical equipment needs.
Leadership & Quality Improvement

Provide 24/7 availability for facility emergencies.
Attend monthly Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) meetings (at least 10 months per year).
Assist in developing clinical pathways to improve resident care.
Collaboration & Community Engagement

Work with the facility's attending physicians to ensure the highest standards of care.
Support facility marketing and outreach efforts, as needed.
What We're Looking For
MD or DO with an active, unrestricted New York medical license.
Experience in geriatric care, post-acute, or skilled nursing facility settings preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and collaborative skills.
