Job Title: Injection Mold Process EngineerJob Description We are seeking a skilled Injection Mold Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. The role involves defining and implementing changes to the manufacturing process to improve key performance matrices, including defects, yields, rates, scrap, and machine utilization. You will manage projects professionally using the DMAIC process and apply advanced statistical tools to analyze manufacturing performance data. Additionally, you will utilize Six Sigma tools and assist in training employees in their application. The position requires new product design testing and verification for commercialization and acting as the primary contact for selected customers regarding quality and engineering issues. Responsibilities + Define and implement changes to the manufacturing process for measurable improvements. + Manage and document projects using the DMAIC process. + Analyze data with advanced statistical tools to evaluate project results. + Implement Six Sigma tools and assist in employee training. + Conduct testing and verification of new product designs. + Act as the primary contact for customers on quality and engineering issues. + Lead a group of process injection mold technicians. + Generate mold and tooling repairs. + Conduct quality checks and address quality issues. + Perform process verifications and audits in injection mold areas. + Carry out preventive maintenance on 2-shot injection mold machines. Essential Skills + 5+ years of process injection mold experience. + 5+ years of manufacturing experience. + Experience in leading or supervising a team. + Process improvement experience. + Excellent written and oral communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Vision system experience (Cognex). Work Environment The position offers a clean, climate-controlled environment, with working hours from 5:45 am to 3:00 pm. The role involves interfacing with the night shift team, requiring early arrival for meetings. The current Process Engineer is retiring, and this position serves as their replacement. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/yr. Health, vision, dental, 401k Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Auburn,AL.
