Position Overview
Zenius Corporation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Grants Manager & Administrator to support the full lifecycle of grant activities, including pre-award, post-award, and closeout processes. This role will play a critical part in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while supporting internal stakeholders and/or clients in achieving mission-aligned program goals. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of grants processes, federal grant regulations (e.g., 2 CFR 200), and experience working with grants management systems.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Award Activities
Support the development of grant proposals, including budget preparation, forms, and certifications.
Assist in gathering required documentation and ensuring submissions meet all RFP/RFA requirements.
Review funding opportunity announcements (FOAs) for eligibility, deadlines, and compliance requirements.
Coordinate internal routing and approval processes for grant applications.
Post-Award Administration
Serve as the point of contact for grant administration between program teams, finance, and funding agencies.
Monitor grant compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
Track reporting deadlines and submit timely progress and financial reports to funding agencies.
Work with finance teams to track expenditures, manage drawdowns, and reconcile budgets.
Grant Monitoring & Closeout
Maintain accurate and up-to-date grant records, files, and documentation.
Support audit readiness and respond to inquiries from funders or auditors.
Assist with grant closeout activities, ensuring all final reports are submitted and obligations met.
System & Data Management
Utilize and maintain grants management systems (e.g., GrantSolutions, eCivis, Salesforce, or internal tools).
Generate reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
Ensure data integrity and document retention for all grant-related activities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Public Administration, Business, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in grants administration, preferably with federal or state-funded programs.
Working knowledge of federal regulations including 2 CFR 200 (Uniform Guidance).
Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and grants management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with federal grants platforms (e.g., SAM.gov, Grants.gov, GrantSolutions).
Knowledge of financial management tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Deltek, SAP).
Familiarity with nonprofit or government contracting environments.
Certified Grants Management Specialist (CGMS) is a plus.
