Cost Accountant Position is out of HQ - Chicago, IL 60631. Prepare and analyze production efficiency and yield variance reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards Conduct through analysis of raw material costs and variances, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Responsible for updating and auditing all aspects of production incentive calculations for presentation to senior management Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights into cost trends and variances. Support month end / year end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Assist in calculating labor and overheads rates for the upcoming year and periodically prepare standard to actual variance reports. Collaborate with a cross functional team to maintain inventory master data. Other projects assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting or a related role, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Strong analytical skills with ability to work with large sets of raw data. Advanced Excel skills. SAP and AS400 Experience preferred. Ability to commute between the manufacturing site and corporate office.
