Job Overview The Special Investigations Unit in the AML Department performs specialized investigations to assess risks. The Subject Matter Expert (SME) will collaborate with key stakeholders, including senior management, to enhance processes, support team development, and provide expertise within the workstream and across SIU. Responsibilities Identify and implement process and procedural improvements. Collaborate on complex investigations and projects, often in leadership roles. Serve as a primary contact for leadership and investigators, managing inquiries and needs. Organize training and mentorship, develop training materials, and lead sessions. Assist management with meetings, queue management, reviews, and team leadership tasks. Partner with other departments to promote awareness and collaboration. Conduct investigations, maintain high standards of quality and productivity. Desired Qualities Critical thinker with problem-solving skills. Effective communicator, adaptable to audience. Organized, with good prioritization and deadline management. Leadership skills with an ability to build consensus. Strong AML knowledge, investigative skills, and understanding of regulations. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. At least 2 years of AML experience in financial services. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree. Over 3 years of AML experience in finance. Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS). Experience investigating complex, high-risk cases. Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
